APPLICATION DIRECTIONS

If you are a new customer, select New Customer.

Complete your Company’s information. An email address is requested so that permit renewal and program notification can be communicated through email.

If you received a renewal letter select Existing Customer, use the permit number and access code  located on the right hand upper corner of  your renewal letter.

Verify your Company’s information, correct information if needed. An email address is requested so that permit renewal and program notification can be communicated through email.

Choose type of Flashing Amber Light permit (1 to 5 vehicles, blanket I or blanket II).  Please keep in mind how many vehicles you may have in the permit period.

Check appropriate box for the purposed use of your amber lights.

If you check:

  1. Vehicles engaged in activities which create a public hazard upon the streets or highway.
  2. Other

You must explain in the comment box your reason for need of an Amber Light Permit.

Before you submit your application, be sure all information is correct and you meet the criteria for a Flashing Amber Light permit.

There are no refunds for denied permits or incorrect payments.

After submitting your application, print 2 copies of your Flashing Amber Light Permit Application Receipt.

 Send 1 copy in with check or money order to:

Retain 1 copy for your file; you will need your transaction number and access code on this receipt.

After 15 days log back into web-site (http://nhp.nv.gov)

Select Validate permit Acceptance.

Enter access code and transaction number (You will find these numbers on your Flashing Amber Light Permit Application Receipt).

If approved you may print as many copies of your Flashing Amber Light permit as needed.  If not approved it may still be under review, check back in 3 days for information.
